The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to the Republic of Croatia was received by Dean Prof. Dr. Sc. Zdenko Tonković, Vice-Dean Prof. Dr. Sc. Goran Đukić and Vice-Dean Prof. Dr. Sc. Krešimir Grilec

The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture of the University of Zagreb was visited on Tuesday, 24 February 2026, by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to the Republic of Croatia, His Excellency William de Baets.

The visit was organized at the initiative of FSB employees involved in the COST project “A pan-European network of Ocean Tribology – OTC” . The project is being led by Prof. Dr. sc. Suzana Jakovljević, Deputy Project Leader, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. sc. Davor Kolar, Project Member. The project leader is Belgian scientist Patrick de Baets, and numerous European institutions are involved in the project to connect researchers in the field of tribology of marine systems.
